Rosie awoke feeling the #breeze ruffle her hair. It gave her a slight chill that raised goose bumps. She snuggled closer to Jenny & pulled the sheet back over them. Jenny mumbled something in her sleep & Rosie kissed her gently before relaxing back into sleep herself.

"It's time to get up," Tseluna said.
"Okay," Rory replied. "I just need a 'tuit.'"
"A what?"
"A 'tuit!' A #round one…"
"How will that help?"
"I'll get up when I get around to it."
"How droll," she said as she pressed her finger against his shoulder & zapped him.
"Yow!"

"We agreed! You swore you wouldn't do this again!"
"Why do you want to #humble me? Why can't I decide for myself?"
"We're supposed to make decisions together!"
"But you always say, 'No!'"
"Because we can't afford it!"

"What should we #eat tonight?"
"Fun Meals!" shrieked the Angels.
"No!" David replied, putting his foot down. "You need a balanced diet."
"But we already made Fun Meals for tonight," Zaza said with a sly look opening the replicator. "But, look! We made you a Fun Dinner."

"There's always variability," the Candy Palace owner said.
"No," David said. "The pieces must be #equal."
"Why so important?"
The Better Angels entered.
"Is this the place you told us about, David?" Zaza asked.
David looked at the owner who winked with understanding.

"You're #not from around here," the captor said. "Where are you from?"
"She's my sister-in-law," Revin said. "They're from Havelock."
"Shut up, monster," he snarled, kicking Revin in the gut. Revin gasped & struggled to breathe.
"Stop!" Momo pleaded. "Stop it! Please!"

"David! David!" Zaza called. David came out & found the Better Angels sprawled on the floor & couches seemingly asleep.
"It's a #lazy day!" Zaza said. "Join us!"
He turned to go back to work when they all surged up & seized him, dragging him down.
"Relax!" they shrieked.

Mary heard the alert about the missing girl. Stepping out into the #cold, she assumed the form of a boxer dog and began to run the perimeter of the property. She found small footprints and a trail leading into the Grove. She picked up her pace. She was getting close!

Lindsey sat on a dry patch while #water trickled down the face of the rocks, over moss, & into the little pool. In summer, the dell was glorious, but now it was chilly. She shivered.
"Here, my love," the dryad said, slipping a cloak of autumn leaves over her shoulders.

The Better Angels were crowded around the door, chattering as David tried to lead them.
"Form a #line, Angels!" David called.
They promptly formed a chorus line, with their arms laced together.
"How's this, David? How's this?" they called, as they performed high kicks.

"Play dodge ball, David!" the Better Angels called.
One by one, the girls were eliminated until it was just David & Zaza.
Zaza tossed it. David tried to not catch it, but it stuck to his hands.
"I'm #out!" shrieked Zaza. "David wins!"
"Who covered the ball with glue?"

"Get up, wench!" the captor said, kicking Momo. "Fix us breakfast!"
She stood meekly.
He grabbed her shoulder & pushed, but then ran a #hand down her side & gave her a sharp slap on her backside.
She flushed with anger, but went pale when confronted with trying to cook.

After the command performance, the Better Angels were invited to dine with the King.
"And for #dessert," the head waiter announced. "Turkish Delight!"
Zaza beckoned & whispered in the King's ear. He smiled.
"No!" he commanded. "We shall have lollipops. And bubblegum!"

Revin looked everywhere, but there were no etheric streams. The Queen of Belleriand drifted among jagged mountains at the mercy of the wind with no attachments. Revin panicked as #disaster loomed.
Then he awoke in a sweat, panting, arms & legs bound. Still in captivity.

Aemry sat down in the leaves — so tired. She'd been woolgathering & realized she'd made a wrong turn in the forest. Now she was #lost. She tried to not dissolve in tears—crying about it didn't help. Then she saw a blue glow off to her right. Maybe if she followed that…

David had regretted signing the Better Angels up for the fashion show. He'd been on the run to help #eight girls dress & ride herd on them waiting their turn. But when the girls went out, it was worth it. Until they got the audience to demand he come out & take a bow.
