He slithered through wet grass, damp with early-morning dew. He followed a slight #depression, to stay out of view as he reached the crest of the hill. He wiped his eyes, peeked through the grass, & looked down on the encampment. He pulled out his journal & took notes.

"It looks like a tiny li'l #hat."
"That's what a fascinator is."
"Why don't you just call it a tiny li'l hat, then?"
"Why don't you just admit you're fascinated."
"I look a bit lower for that."

A demon in a throne had a submissive, bruised young man at his side. The demon, toying with his hair, suddenly struck him to the ground.
"I'm sorry, #master," he sobbed, kneeling.
"Humans make great familiars. Don't you agree, Velurri?"
Aimee looked on with horror.

Zaza stretched her hands up trying to catch a piece of paper.
"Watch this," David said. He put in a lengthwise #fold, several more, & showed her how to throw the paper airplane.
"Me too!" the other Angels called "Make me one, David!"
He grinned & grabbed more paper.

"Are you a #girl or a #boy demon?" Aimee asked.
"Girl? Boy?" the demon asked.
"Yeah. Are you… Um… I don't know how to explain the difference if you don't know. Do demons not have babies?"
"Babies?"
"Oh, boy…" Aimee said, wracking her brain for how to explain.
"Boy?"

Richard opened the door.
"I'm here to see your master," a man said.
"May I say who is calling, sir?"
"You may call me Dr. Callow."
Richard invited him into the salon, fully anticipating the man's expression when he learned that the #servant was actually the master.

The Better Angels went caroling. Though familiar on @TruckStopGalaxy, their #music was always a draw.
"May we have some egg nog, David?" Zaza asked.
"Just a small one."
Ten minutes later, they were giggling & falling all over each other.
"More, more, more!" they sang.

Rory & Tseluna were walking in Shibuya when he stopped short.
"Have we been here?"
"We did your obedience training here."
"Oh, right! That girl dancing…"
Tseluna pouted reproachfully.
"I can dance for you anytime," she whispered in his ear. "Master…"
Rory blushed.

"I wish we could stay on #vacation forever," Rory said, nuzzling Tseluna, as they soaked in the outdoor hot spring. "It's gonna suck to go back to school."
"Silly boy," she said licking the end of his nose with her rough tongue. "Who knows what's going to happen next?"

Aimee beckoned. Her family watched in silence as a little, round face peeked around her legs. She encouraged him to step forward. He paused shyly, blinked, then stepped out, bowed & quietly said, "Hello."
He tugged at Aimee's skirt.
"Oh, yeah," she said. "We need #salt."
