Esperanto in theater

A year ago, the Esperanto Society of New England was contacted by a theater group that was rehearsing for Homebody/Kabul, a play that features Esperanto in a small way. A member met with the cast and helped them get their pronunciation right and ESNE got a small mention (including our URL www.esne.net) in the program.

Today, I see that there's a new play, Mitzi's Abortion that also uses Esperanto as part of the story line. I was touched by the imagery evoked in the article about the need for a common language -- even among people who speak the same language -- to talk about issues that cannot otherwise be discussed.
